Outstanding for Behaviour. Again.
A secondary school in Birmingham has now been judged outstanding for behaviour on two consecutive Ofsted visits. Located in one of the most
socially and economically disadvantaged areas in the country, the school face difficult challenges with the vast majority of students speaking English as a second language and a significant number having special educational needs. The school put behaviour high on their whole school improvement agenda and as a result have succeeded in improving behaviour, attendance and achievement.
In an in-depth interview with the Deputy Headteacher at the school he explains how their approach to behaviour management took them from a satisfactory judgement for behaviour to outstanding and allowed them to maintain their outstanding judgement.
